Police: Jeffery Ware Fatally Shoots Wife Before Committing Suicide in Georgia Home

SHOCK: Preliminary investigation show Jeffery Ware shot his wife, Jeannine, during an argument in their Rome, Ga., home Wednesday afternoon. What's even more shocking is the couple's two teenage boys were in the home when the shooting occurred.

The woman was holding her 16-year-old son’s leg when she was shot in the back and at least twice more, Wallace said. The couple’s 14-year-old son was also in the home, but it was not clear late Wednesday where he was at the time of the shootings, Wallace said. It was the 14-year-old who called 911, he said. This came out of left field as family members are quoted as saying because they had never seen Jeffery Ware being physically abusive to his wife. There were no reports of any police calls to the home. Well, no-one really knows what happens behind closed doors except the people behind those doors. You don't just kill your wife and then commit suicide. Something was going on in that home. My thoughts and prayers go out to the children who haven't only lost their parents, but have been traumatized by these acts of violence.
