Aaron Laconsello Arrested on First Degree Murder Charges in Stabbing Death of 4 YO Boy, Dakota Lane

SHOCK: Dakota Lane, 4, killed after being stabbed 36 times during home invasion in Muskogee, Okla., Tuesday night. According to the Tulsa World, the suspect has been identified as Aaron Laconsello, 18, who had no ties to the family. The boy's mother, Stephanie Lane, who is eight months pregnant, was injured trying to fend off the attacker. Prosecutors planned to charge Laconsello with first-degree murder Friday. This is such a senseless act of violence against an innocent child.

Pedro Zardeneta, a spokesman for the Muskogee Police Department, said the first police officers at the scene performed CPR on the child until an ambulance arrived. The boy was first taken to Muskogee Regional Medical Center and then was flown to Tulsa.

Aaron Michael Laconsello, 18, was arrested about an hour and a half after the attack and is being held without bond on complaints of first-degree murder, first-degree burglary and assault with a deadly weapon, according to police.

Laconsello had received suspended sentences on convictions of trespassing and public intoxication near Northeastern State University in the past, Cherokee County District Court records show.

Additionally, he was charged in Cherokee County on Tuesday with driver inattention, driving without a driver's license and driving without insurance, records show. Source: Tulsa World
