The Obama Administration reeling in the wake of WikiLeaks documents that showed America has little regard for foreign leaders, including staunch allies, the British.
Julian Assange is a boil on the backside of the United States. I am baffled as to how he came in control of classified documents. Have we learned nothing from September 11, 2001? The Obama Administration will be in damage control all week from this mess. What I am also puzzled about is why this man is on this crusade to make America a laughingstock on the international stage. It is amazing that an international warrant for this freak's arrest hasn't been issued to-date. Here's an excerpt from the
U.K. Daily Mail of how America really thinks about leaders around the world, according to WikiLeaks:
French President Nicolas Sarkozy: ‘has a thin-skinned and authoritarian personal style’ and is an ‘emperor with no clothes.’
Italian Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi: ‘feckless, vain and ineffective as a modern European leader’. He is a ‘physically and politically weak’ leader whose ‘frequent late nights and penchant for partying hard mean he does not get sufficient rest.’
Russian President Dmitry Medvedev: ‘plays Robin to Putin’s Batman’ and is ‘pale and hesitant.’
Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin: an ‘alpha dog’
Chancellor Angela Merkel: ‘avoids risks and is rarely creative.’
Iranian President Mahmoud Amhadinejad: like ‘Hitler’
Libyan leader Muammar Gadaffi: is ‘strange’ and ‘accompanied by voluptuous blonde Ukranian “nurse.”’
Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan: governs with ‘a cabal of incompetent advisors.’
North Korean dictator Kim Jong-il: ‘flabby old chap’ who suffers from ‘physical and psychological trauma.’
Afghan president, Hamid Karzai: ‘driven by paranoia’ and ‘an extremely weak man who did not listen to facts but was instead easily swayed by anyone who came to report even the most bizarre stories or plots against him.’
Zimbabwean tyrant, Robert Mugabe: ‘the crazy old man’ Source: UK Daily Mail
On a serious note, aren't those assessments about the above foreign leaders on point? When I see Robert Mugabe on TV or in the news, a man of integrity certainly doesn't come to mind. He's literally robbing his country blind. Italian Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi is a gaffe-machine who isn't well respected in his country, much less on the international stage. I could go on and on. Still, the elbow to the lip that President Obama took last weekend pales in comparison to the nightmare this has caused him and his Administration. I recall Hillary Clinton's campaign ad about who would you trust at 3 a.m., well, I guess she has more cojones than we thought. Of course, the U.K. Daily Mail is having a field day with this. After all, they have been overly critical of President Obama on many fronts. I guess the bigger question for me is who is financing Julian Assange and WikiLeaks?
