Samuel Friedlander, wife Amy Friedlander & their two kids Gregory & Molly dead in apparent murder-suicide in their Cross River, NY, home.

A wealthy family of four, residing in Cross River in Westchester county, were found dead in an apparent murder-suicide in their home Tuesday afternoon. Police have identified the victims as married couple, Amy and Samuel Friedlander, as well as their two kids, Molly, 11 and Gregory, 8. Amy Friedlander was a vice president for Chase Manhattan Bank but neighbors said she had left that job and recently opened a tutoring and college preparatory business in the community. Sam Friedlander was an associate counsel of the National Association of Insurance Commissioners in Manhattan, according to the Journal News. WCBS-TV is reporting the couple were in the midst of a nasty and bitter divorce. Reports have surfaced that the father was the one who carried out this unspeakable act of violence ahead of a divorce hearing. The crime scene was described as gruesome. Our thoughts and prayers go out to both families.
