MS Gov. Haley Barbour, Who Said "Integration at Ole Miss Was a Pleasant Experience," Rallies Behind Herman Cain, Claims He Would Sweep the South

Mississippi Gov. Haley Barbour is drinking the same Kool-Aid GOP presidential hopeful Herman Cain drank in the 1960s when they both slept through the civil rights unrest. To be exact, Barbour said "integration at Ole Miss was a pleasant experience," despite the fact that the National Guard had to intervene and there were riots. Well, they're both still imbibing on the same drink in 2011. Barbour told Laura Ingraham that Herman Cain would sweep the South in a presidential election. Um, yeah, if he's the nominee and up against Obama, but we know donkeys will fly before the Republican establishment rallies behind him as their candidate. They would rather stand behind Texas Gov. Rick Perry, a bumbling idiot, who is far worse than former president George W. Bush. You know if you line Bush up next to Perry, I would have the say Bush has the most brains out of the two of them.
“If this election is where it ought to be, and that is a referendum on how President Obama is doing, Republicans are going to win. If Herman Cain is our nominee against Barack Obama, I think he’ll sweep the south," Gov. Haley Barbour (R-Miss.) told Laura Ingraham today.

“I think if it were today my wife would vote for Herman Cain. One of my sons, I have grown children, you know, from the first day said ‘Dad, do you know Herman Cain?’ I said sure, I’ve known him since I was Chairman. He said “Man, I like him, I like what he says,” and that is one of his great strengths Laura. He is likable. He does not give you the impression that he is full of himself, but rather than he is a straight-talkin’ person who, will tell you, he call it like he sees them. He’s not trying to sugar coat anything and at the same time he is not trying to be shrill and a chest beater. He’s a straight talker and I think that makes him very, very attractive to people.” Source
Quite frankly, I am not sold on a second Obama term, but hey, if George Bush could get a second term, there's hope for Barack Obama. He can't do any worse than Bush did in his second term. Besides, the current slate of GOP presidential candidates is laughable at best. I won't be casting a vote for any of them.
