U.S. Based Black Pastor William Lee Arrested in India for Engaging in Religious Preaching

William Lee, a black American evangelist, was arrested in Kochi, on a visa violation for preaching.

Pastor William Lee was arrested at a five-star hotel on Willingdon Island Saturday morning, according to The Hindu. The police had issued an arrest warrant for Lee for conducting a musical convention, 'Musical Splash,' in Kochi in violation of visa guidelines. The program was reportedly organized by a Christian congregation, Faith Leaders Church of God. He was reportedly joined by two other U.S. citizens, including Ron Kenoly.
