Tippah County, MS, Sheriff's Deputy Dewayne Crenshaw Shot & Killed by Franklin Fitzpatrick During Disturbance Call

My thoughts and prayers go out of the family of Tippah County, MS, sheriff's deputy Dewayne Crenshaw, who was allegedly shot and killed by Franklin Fitzpatrick, who is now in police custody.

Sheriff's investigator Jason Willis says Deputy Dewayne Crenshaw was fatally wounded just after 4 a.m. today after responding to a disturbance call.

Willis says the 62-year-old Crenshaw had been a deputy for seven years and had previously worked in the jail. Source: Commercial Appeal

It is always sad when an officer loses his life in the line of duty. Again, my thoughts and prayers go out to the family of Deputy Crenshaw.
