Baltimore Ravens rookie Sergio Kindle continues to send the wrong message to young people after being arrested for DUI & speeding.
Baltimore Ravens rookie Sergio Kindle was arrested Sunday morning and charged with drunk driving in Howard County, Md. According to the Baltimore Sun, this is another blow to the player's troubled season. Realizing he is in deep sh*t, he now calls this latest incident a "mistake." He was also ticketed for speeding and failure to obey traffic control devices. Another professional athlete behaving badly. Clearly he is sending the wrong message to his fans, many of which are young people.
Reached Sunday night, Kindle said he was driving home with friends, one of whom had to catch an early flight. He said he had informed one of the team's security personnel about the arrest, and apologized to the team.
"I just want to apologize to the organization, because I don't want to bring a negative light to the team," he said. "It was my mistake. I can't take it back now. I don't know what's going to happen from here." Source: Baltimore Sun
The problem is that this isn't Sergio Kindle's first DUI. You see, two years ago he apologized for the same thing, so when can one reasonably expect that he will realize that driving under the influence is dangerous and can take the lives of innocent people? Will he get it when he kills someone or when the Ravens say enough is enough and cut him?
