Alcoa Subsidiary to Pay More Than $540K to Settle Discrimination Lawsuit
Alcoa Pennsylvania subsidiary Alcoa Mill Products Inc., will pay more than $540,000 to settle discrimination against minorities and women. The company will pay $485,000 in back pay to 37 black men and Hispanics who were denied jobs at the plant in Lancaster, the Timesonline said. The settlement was announced by the Labor Department and stems from a federal compliance review between 2009 and 2010.
