Khadijah Herring, Mother of 10, Denied Discounts at Hampton GA Kroger Supermarket Because She's a "Habitual Coupon User"

Khadijah Herring, who resides in Hampton, Ga., was denied discounts in a local Kroger store because she was a "habitual coupon user." Okay, I am shaking my head at this and yes, only in Georgia does this kind of bullshit go on. Herring, a mother of 10, said she became hooked on cutting coupons after watching a television show about it and with her large family, who can blame her? I know it's crazy to purchase 20 body washes but the woman has a large family. What's the purpose of the coupons? Um, discounts.

According to Ms Herring, she was trying to buy 20 body washes at a Kroger store near her home in Hampton when the manager came up to her at the checkout and said: 'I'm not taking those.'

The coupon policy at the store says: 'There is not a limit on the number of coupons per transaction, however Kroger does limit one coupon per item and reserves the right to limit quantities.' Source: Daily Mail
Well, Kroger just got some negative publicity that it could have done without. I can't tell you how many times I have walked into a Kroger or Publix supermarket and have seen "white women" buying tons of stuff with coupons and hearing no argument from store managers. I do remember a friend who works part-time at Publix saying there was a limit on how many coupons a register could process. That's a whole other ball game than telling this woman she can't purchase the products because she's a "habitual coupon user."
