Ernesto Bustamante, Former University of Idaho Professor, Kills Ex-Girlfriend Katy Benoit, Then Commits Suicide in Motel

SHOCK: Former University of Idaho professor Ernesto A. Bustamante, 31, and his ex-girlfriend, graduate student Katy Benoit are dead in an apparent murder-suicide. According to media reports, the body of Benoit was found outside her off-campus apartment with multiple gunshot wounds late Monday. Police issued a warrant for the arrest of Bustamante, whose body was found Tuesday morning. Police said Benoit was shot to death with a .45 caliber handgun. It seems that the two had a violent relationship, in which he threatened her with a gun on more than one occasion. The moral of the story is, if a man threatens you with a gun, he will pull the trigger at some point and wound or kill you.
