Texas Grandmother, Arburne Benson, Accused of Attempting to Drown 7 YO Grandson, Relatives Say No Way

Arburne Benson, 47, accused of attempting to drown seven year old grandson as he took bath in Houston home.

Texas grandmother, Arburne Benson, allegedly attempted to drown her seven year old grandson as he attempted to take a bath on August 7. According to KHOU.com, she has been the boy's legal guardian for the last four years.

The documents state that the child told authorities his grandmother held his head under water until he managed to struggle free. The documents also state that Benson called her sister on the phone and admitted trying to drown her grandson because she was frustrated and tired.

Relatives are sticking by Ms. Benson and they say the boy "is always involved in something he shouldn't be." This begs the question, where are his parents? Why is the grandmother, 47, raising this child. This is the story of many grandparents across this country, raising their grand kids. That's just not fair. I won't throw the grandmother under a bus without hearing about the whereabouts of his parents. He didn't just fall to earth from the sky.
