Seven Teens Charged with Mob Action for Beating & Robbing 18 YO Man Near Chicago's Chinatown

Seven Chicago teens are facing serious charges for beating and robbing an 18 year old man Friday outside the Cermak-Chinatown CTA station, the Chicago Tribune reports. The victim reportedly sustained facial injuries and was taken to a local hospital for medical attention. Two of the teens were charged as juveniles because of their ages. The other five were charged as adults. They include: Fimi Adedokun, 17; Stanton Demaret, 17; Devin Mossiah, 17; Duwon Polk, 17; and Denzel Olagbegi, 17. They are each being held on bail amounts ranging from $100,000 to $200,000
The man was walking westbound on Cermak Road when the group of teens approached him and demanded his cellphone and other items before robbing and battering him, police said.

After the teens robbed the man of a cell phone, debit card and identification card, they ran into the L station and were on the platform when they were spotted by security guards working for the CTA who were then able to hold the teens for police, Mirabelli said. Source
Why these young people feel a sense of entitlement, that they can just take other people's stuff by any means necessary is just unconscionable and brazen.
