R&B Singer Nick Ashford of Ashford &Simpson Dead at Age 70

Our thoughts and prayers go out to the family of R&B singer/songwriter Nick Ashford. He passed away today after battling throat cancer. He was 70.

You will remember Nick Ashford as one-half of the Ashford & Simpson duo best known for chart-topping hit "Solid as a Rock." He is survived by wife Valerie Simpson and two daughters.
