Visa Revocation Worries Hit the Jamaican Government After Minister James Robertson's Visa Cancelled by State Dept.

Jamaican government worried after U.S. State Department revoked visitor's visas of Energy Minister James Robertson & wife.

Visa worries hit the Jamaican government after U.S. State Department revoked visitor's visas of Energy Minister James Robertson & wife, who claim they have no knowledge of why that drastic action was taken. It is a sad commentary that a high-level government official of a country that's supposed to be a friend of the United States has had his visa revoked. There's far more to this than is being told.
Just over a year ago, reports out of New York said three unnamed senior government ministers were under the microscope of the Grand Jury of the Southern District Court of New York which indicted Christopher 'Dudus' Coke last August on alleged gunrunning and drug-trafficking charges.

Well-informed Observer sources said the Americans were contending that the Jamaican Government officials had conspired to prevent information from reaching the Grand Jury in the Coke case, at the time the latest in the fallout from the Manatt, Phelps and Phillips law firm controversy.

Investigators probing breaches of the Foreign Agents Registration Act (FARA) involving the Government of Jamaica, and the US law firm were piecing together evidence they said would expose the alleged link between the Government officials, Manatt, Phelps and Phillips, and Coke, the former Tivoli Gardens strongman. Was Dudus really worth this headache? Heck no. Jamaica needs the U.S. government more than they need us.

UPDATE#1:  The Jamaica Observer is reporting that England and Canada are set to revoke James Robertson's visas as well. It should be noted that Robertson is the deputy leader of the ruling Jamaica Labor Party. According to the newspaper, a reliable source said, "There is ongoing collaboration between Britain, Canada and ourselves, and it is almost certain, like the USA, those countries will also cancel visas issued to him, as long as it is established that he has those in his possession." This is big and should have members of both parties wondering who is next in the fallout from Dudus.
