Sergeant Kenneth Vann, with the Bexar County Sheriff's office, was shot and killed in an ambush while he stopped at a red light Saturday morning. According to Officer Down Memorial Page, he was responding to a non-emergency call and stopped for a red light at an intersection when a car pulled up next to his patrol car on the passenger side and the occupant immediately opened fire. The officer was reportedly struck multiple times. The suspect(s)fled the scene and are still at large. Sergeant Vann served with Bexar County Sheriff's Office for over 24 years.
