Dutch churches sign statement condemning violence against homosexuals worldwide, what about the black churches in the U.S. & Caribbean taking similar positions?
From Radio Netherlands Worldwide: Dutch churches have today signed a statement condemning violence against homosexuals. The ceremony took place in the Dom Church in Utrecht and marked International Day Against Homophobia and Transphobia (17 May). Violence against gays, lesbians, bisexual and transgender people is a major problem around the world. That's a great move on their part. I have to ask what about churches in the U.S. and Caribbean, specifically predominantly black churches, where the word "homosexual" is a dirty word to many? The same holds true for African countries where being a homosexual is still a crime.
