Four white teachers file federal lawsuit alleging former Thomas Mifflin Elementary School principal Charles Ray III said they were "unfit to teach African American students" and they suffered various forms of race-based treatment.
SHAME: Four white teachers at
Thomas Mifflin Elementary School in Philadelphia, have filed a federal lawsuit, alleging they suffered various forms of
race-based, disparate treatment at the hands of administrators, including being accused by then-principal Charles Ray III, who is black, of being unfit to teach black students, Courthouse News Service said.
As part of "professional development" at Thomas Mifflin Elementary School, a former principal forced employees "to read an article instructing the teachers that white teachers do no have the ability to teach African American students," according to four federal complaints filed last week.
The teachers say that the school's former principal established "an atmosphere of distrust and favoritism" in which white teachers' relationships with their students were "repeatedly sabotaged."

Wow, this is a first in the school system. If this principal really told these teachers they were unfit to teach black students, then I can see why he's a former principal.
