Houston police officer Kevin Will dies after being struck by suspected drunk driver Johoan Rodriguez, who faces intoxication manslaughter of a peace officer, felony evading & possession of a controlled substance.

Houston police officer Kevin Will was struck and killed by Johoan Rodriguez, a suspected drunk driver, early Sunday morning as he investigated an accident on the city's North Loop. According to the Houston Chronicle, Will died at the scene. He leaves behind a six month pregnant wife, two children ages six and 10. Rodriguez has been jailed and is facing charges of intoxication manslaughter of a peace officer, felony evading and possession of a controlled substance. The newspaper said Will has served with the Houston Police Department since 2009. When will people learn that getting behind the wheel while you are inebriated is asking for trouble.
