Pakistani spy-agency red-faced over claims of ignorance Osama Bin Laden living near Islamabad, even 12 year old boy Zarar Ahmed visited compound regularly.
Does anyone in their right mind think President Barack Obama had a right to inform the Pakistani government of his intentions to go after Osama Bin Laden? They should be ashamed to even entertain such a thought, since it's obvious people in the highest levels of the social pecking order in Pakistan had to have known Osama Bin Laden was living a stone's throw from the military equivalent of West Point. Instead of coming across with such arrogance, the Pakistani government should be desperately trying to scrub the black mark from of its very essence. You see, when a mere child, Zarar Ahmed, 12, can tell journalists he often visited Bin Laden's high-security compound, in Islamabad, Pakistan, and spoke with children there, the intelligence of the country has failed miserably and I don't blame the Obama Administration no to trust them on iota.
The Inter-Services Intelligence agency claims not to have known the whereabouts of Osama Bin Laden despite him living in a $1million compound in Abbottabad, less than a mile from a military academy in Islamabad.
We had been looking for him in no-go areas, unaware that he was living so close to an installation of ours,' said the official at a briefing for journalists in Islamabad. 'Yes, it is an intelligence failure.'
Further embarrassment followed today when the BBC interviewed a 12-year-old boy who said he used to visit the building where Bin Laden had died and had met the Al Qaeda leader's family.
'I used to go to their house. He had two wives, one spoke Arabic, and the other one spoke Urdu. They had three children, a girl and two boys. They gave me two rabbits. They had installed a camera at the outer gate so they could see people before they entered the house,' Zarar Ahmed said. Source
There is no reason why the Pakistani government had no knowledge that Osama Bin Laden called their country home and they have the hubris to expect the U.S. government to divulge its plans to them. That's akin to telling Iran we plan to invade to take out the Syrian leader.
