Houston High School Teacher Suspended After Telling Muslim-American Student "I Bet You're Grieving" Over Osama Bin Laden's Assassination

Houston high school teacher suspended after telling African American student of Muslim faith, "I bet you're grieving" over Osama Bin Laden's assassination.

Clear Brook High School teacher has been suspended for making a racist statement to a black Muslim student. According to ABC affiliate, Houston's KTRK, the mother of the student complained the teacher told her child in response to the death of Osama Bin Laden:

She said, "The teacher told the student that 'I bet you're grieving.' And she basically looked at him and said what are you talking about? And he said I heard about your uncle's death and she said wow, because she understood that he was referring about Osama bin Laden being killed and was racially profiling her." Source

This was in poor taste and I don't know why they are hiding the identity of the teacher. If he or she was so bold to say it, then he or she needs to suffer the consequences.
