Georgia firefighter, Casey Allen Spradlin, facing multiple felonies in the death of fiancee's two year old son, Brayden Robinson.
Casey Allen Spradlin, a Coweta County, Ga., firefighter is facing multiple charges in the death of Brayden Robinson, the 2-year-old son of his fiancee. According to the Atlanta Journal Constitution, Spradlin faces counts of felony murder, malice murder, first-degree cruelty to children and aggravated battery in the death of Brayden Robinson, said John Bankhead, spokesman for the Georgia Bureau of Investigation. The child reportedly died from blunt force head trauma. I respect the fact that an accused is innocent until proven guilty, but why on earth did he allegedly commit such a heinous act against a precious baby? Why?On Sept. 3, emergency personnel responded to a 911 call from a residence in Luthersville, Bankhead said. Inside the home they found Brayden unresponsive and he was airlifted to Egleston Children’s Hospital in Atlanta. Brayden later died from his injuries. Spradlin, who was caring for Brayden at the time, told officials the boy had been injured in a fall.I guess the obvious question for me is why the Atlanta Journal Constitution doesn't have his picture featured prominently on its site? If found guilty, I pray this will lock him up for the rest of his life. His actions against this innocent child is akin to a rabid animal. It doesn't matter what one's station in life is. Scumbags come from every walk of life. Shameful.
But medical personnel who treated Brayden were skeptical, and investigators determined that the child died from blunt force head trauma, not a fall, Bankhead said. Spradlin was arrested Tuesday in Meriwether County. He is being held without bond in the Meriwether County jail. Source: AJC
