Don Unsworth's Family Issues Unusual Obituary, Asks Mourners to Donate to President Obama's Opponent in 2012

Even from the grave, a dead man is taking a swipe at President Obama. According to the Atlanta Journal Constitution, Don Unsworth was a funny guy and a die-hard Republican and his family remembered him with an unusual obituary last week. Instead of buying flowers, they asked mourners contribute to the American Cancer Society or "or to the campaign of whoever is running against President Barack Obama in 2012." Wow, that's deep!

It soon hit Facebook, and then the calls started coming in, including some by reporters, which caught daughter Donna Barnes by surprise."We didn't anticipate any of that," Barnes told the AJC Monday. "It's really helping us with our grief."

She said the line about Obama was an homage to her dad's sense of humor -- and his politics. Unsworth, who was 78 when he died of cancer on Sept. 6, didn't like the Democratic president's policies and was still complaining about them while on his deathbed, Barnes said.
