Bethany Storro Admits Washington Acid Attack Was Self-Inflicted, Though She Blamed a Black Woman

Once again, a black person is accused of a crime that never occurred. This time acid "victim" Bethany Storro's little scheme to blame a fictitious black woman for throwing acid literally unraveled as law enforcement became doubtful of the veracity of her accusations. According to The Columbian, Storro admitted that the so-called attack was self-inflicted. What I find abhorrent is the fact that some perpetrators always finger a black person as their attackers, when that is furthest from the truth. That just plays up to the widely held view that blacks are almost always in the wrong. A throwback to the darkest period in America's history. Countless numbers of black men were accused, beaten and locked up, some even lynched for crimes they did not commit.

Bethany Storro should be charged with making a false statement. Besides, she is nuts. No rational person would ever throw such a caustic substance on their body. No way. Vancouver police held a press conference this afternoon during which they said Storro confessed. This came after the police investigators served a search warrant at a residence where she was staying and took several items, according to The Columbian. When police questioned her about what they found, she confessed.

Bethany Storro considers herself a Christian, but she's a hypocrite. No where in the Bible does it say to implicate someone for a crime they did not commit. The Bible clearly states that it is a sin to bear false witness, in other words, to lie. The racial overtone of Bethany Storro's accusation is troubling, still this woman deserves to serve some time in prison for lying to police officers and wasting the city's resources in its search for a fictitious black woman.
