Oklahoma Police Officer Elzie Cain Dies From Injuries Sustained in Bar Fight with Aaron Threlkeld

Oklahoma police office Elzie Cain, 25, was punched in the nose during a fight at the Electric Cowboy bar in Little Rock, AR, and later died. According to the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette, Aaron Threlkeld of Sheridan will likely face a first-degree murder charge.

The Democrat-Gazette said Cain suffered a head injury when he hit the floor and later died at an area hospital on Sunday. The perpetrator was arrested on a first-degree battery charge and was released on $10,000 bond, but the police department said it expects the charges to be upgraded.

Cain was reportedly in the Little Rock area for a sniper training as part of his service with the Oklahoma National Guard.
