College Students Recruited to Fill Seats at President Obama's Appearance in Cleveland

Back in 2008, there would be standing room only at all the venues then-presidential candidate Barack Obama appeared but today, the thrill seems to be gone. According to the Cleveland Plain Dealer, less than an hour before President Obama's scheduled speech yesterday, 75 seats remained empty in the recreation center at Cuyahoga Community College's Western Campus. So, organizers reportedly went around campus and recruited more students to fill the seats.

Is this a troubling trend for President Obama, whose poll numbers are in a free-fall, or is this much ado about nothing? Personally, I think the Obama Administration is in over its head. President Obama needs to regroup and reorganize his inner circle. He doesn't need friends to have his back. He needs people who will look him in the eyes and tell him  that some of the choices he is making are dead wrong for the country.
