Washington Parade Float Shows President Obama Whipping Future Taxpayer, Sparks Outrage

Community members of the town of Naches, Washington, were outraged at a Tea Party parade float in the recent Lions Club's annual Sportmans' Day Parade which featured a man, dressed as President Barack Obama, whipping a teenager with a riding crop.

But the thing that got people upset was a man in shirt and tie wearing a mask of President Barack Obama. In one hand he held a sign that read “Hey Kids! Thanks for paying out debt!” In the other hand he held a horse riding crop which he snapped at a young teen in front of him pretending to pull the wagon by the handle wearing a shirt that read “Future Tax Payer.” Source

Sorry, but this is a total lack of respect for the president. This was a fun event, not a political rally, therefore, it was in poor taste. I can't understand why some people take offense when members of the Tea Party movement are called racists. The whole movement isn't racist, but it also appeals to the fringe element in our society.
