Former Olympic Sprinter Marion Jones' Basketball Career in Jeopardy After Being Cut from WNBA's Tulsa Shock

Former Olympic gold medal winner sprinter Marion Jones was released by the WNBA's Tulsa Shock. The team's management announced Thursday they waived Jones to make room for Oklahoma center Abi Olajuwon. Seems like Jones' performance wasn't stellar -- less than a point per game in 14 appearances, according to media reports. You will recall Jones' track and field career came to a screeching halt after she admitted lying to federal investigators about taking steroids. She served six months in prison for the crime and was stripped of three gold and two bronze medals she won at the 2000 Sydney Olympics.
