SHOCK: Brian Williams is facing two counts of first degree murder in the deaths of his mother
Donna Williams, 52, who is a detective with the San Diego Police Department Child Abuse Unit, and his sister
Breanna "Bree" Williams, 18, a recent high school graduate and star athlete. According to
NBC San Diego, both women suffered numerous stab wounds and their bodies were found in their Rancho Penasquitos home early Monday morning. Police found Brian Williams, 24, sitting next to his dead sister's body in front of the home, NBC San Diego reports. He is currently jailed without bail. SDPD homicide captain Jim Collins said it is unclear what prompted the attack, NBC San Diego said. Detectives reportedly found a large knife, thought to be the murder weapon, on the front lawn. Our thoughts and prayers go out to the family. This is an unspeakable tragedy that should not have happened. This is sad, sad indeed.
