Alonzo Ashley Died After Being Tasered by Police Called to Denver Zoo to Subdue Him

Alonzo Ashley reportedly suffering heatstroke, goes berserk and bites zookeepers, dies after police use Taser to subdue him.

Alonzo Ashley died at the Denver Zoo Monday after police arrested him and used a taser on him. Denver police defended its actions after they were called to the zoo because he threatened his girlfriend, Elena, and attacked a zoo security guard. He reportedly continued to struggle as the officers tried to subdue him. Ashley reportedly suffered a heatstroke and went berserk. He bit an officer and a security guard. One officer is said to have suffered a head injury. Police claim they found drugs and drug paraphernalia on the suspect, but his girlfriend said that was not true. Is there a cover-up afoot here?  

According to the Denver Post, his girlfriend denied Ashley threatened her and said he was getting delirious due to the extreme heat. She reportedly said he was putting his head in a fountain and zoo security told him to stop.
