Ashley "AJ" Jewell, Former Fiance of Kandi Burruss, Newest Castmember of "The Real Housewives of Atlanta" Dies After Strip Club Brawl, Frederick Richardson Arrested

Ashley "AJ" Jewell, the former fiance of Kandi Burruss, the newest cast member of the reality show, "The Real Housewives of Atlanta," was killed outside an Atlanta strip club he part-owns, Friday night. According to Atlanta Police, Jewell suffered a severe head injury during a one-on-one fight with employee Frederick Richardson at The Body Tap Club in the 1200 block of Marietta Boulevard in Atlanta.

It appears he was in an altercation in the parking lot and received a severe blow to the head. He was taken to Piedmont Hospital where he later died. Richardson also was injured as the two exchanged blows outside the strip bar. Richardson was taken to Grady Memorial Hospital where he will remain until  doctors say he can be discharged. He will then be taken to the Fulton County Jail, according to police spokesman Officer James Polite.

Burruss is an award-winning singer-songwriter and former member of the ’90s R&B group Xscape. She has reportedly had numerous disagreements with her mother on the show regarding her relationship with Jewell.
