Wade Edwards Shots 16 Year-Old Stepdaughter's Boyfriend Julian Harp, 18, Multiple Times After Catching Them Having Sex in His Home, Bond Denied

Wade Edwards, from Apopka, Fl, has been accused of trying to kill his 16 year old stepdaughter's 18 year old boyfriend, Julian Harp for having sexual intercourse in his house. He made his first court appearance before a judge Friday and was denied bond. This isn't the first time he has been brought up on weapons charges. It was revealed in court that he was arrested in 1992 in Saint Croix, in the Virgin Islands, for assault and weapons charges.

What this young couple did was completely disrespectful and this young girl has no respect for her parents or she wouldn't have engaged in an adult behavior in their home. No matter how you view this, he should not have shot this young man. He should have simply told him to leave his home and contacted his parents about the relationship, since his daughter is a minor.

Wade Edwards' actions were premeditated. After catching the couple having sex, he reportedly closed the door, went downstairs and returned moments later with a .45 caliber handgun to confront the young man. Harp tried to leave the home, but Edwards shot him four times in the leg and hip as the teen was trying to put his clothes back on. He was still in the hospital Friday morning after undergoing surgery Thursday night.

Wade Edwards is charged with attempted second-degree murder. However, he told police he was only defending himself after the boy rushed him. Julian Harp was a barefaced young man who only wanted to have sex with this young girl. Why are these girls allowing themselves to be an easy score for these men? Clearly if this young man had a shred of decency he would not have gone into the girl's parents home to engage in sexual intercourse knowing that she is a minor. Sorry, though I wouldn't have shot him, I feel no sympathy for him. There is more to this story than is being told.
