U.S. Geological Survey Says a 6.0 Magnitude Earthquake Hits Pacific Coast of Guatemala

BREAKING: According to the U.S. Geological Survey, a 6.0 Magnitude earthquake has hit the Pacific coast of Guatemala.

The earthquake occurred near the border with El Salvador. The USGS said the quake was centered 24 miles west-southewest of Ahuachapin, El Salvador. The quake was reportedly 64.2 miles deep and centered 60 miles southeast of Guatemala City.

Reports are that in El Salvador's capital city of San Salvador, people fled out of their homes and into the street. The shaking was also felt in Honduras. The quake occurred at 9.40 a.m. local time. There are reports of minor damage, but thankfully no injuries so far.
