Adis Medunjanin and Zarein Ahmedzay, Linked to al-Qaeda, Arrested in New York City, One Suspect Crashes Car on Whitestone Expressway

Adis Medunjanin and Zarein Ahmedzay, who traveled to Pakistan with Najibullah Zazi, arrested in New York City Friday. One Suspect crashes car on the Whitestone Expressway.

Adis Medunjanin and Zarein Ahmedzay, two men who traveled to Pakistan with terror suspect Najibullah Zazi were arrested by the FBI early Friday morning in New York. A full list of charges will be released later Friday, but according to the NY Post, one of the men was charged with non-terror-related holding charges and is awaiting terror-related charges. The second man was charged with terror-related charges.

According to the NY Post, Medunjanin’s attorney said the FBI seized his client’s passport on Thursday. Robert C. Gottlieb said the search warrant indicated the passport was sought as part of an investigation into a conspiracy to use weapons of mass destruction. Being their usual spiteful self, Medunjanin, a Bosnian immigrant, reportedly fled and crashed his vehicle on the Whitestone Expressway. He has been on the no-fly list for several months. This man should have been incarcerated a long time ago.
Zazi, who was arrested September 2009,  was accused of planning to carry out acts of terrorism against the United States under the direction of al Qaeda. The FBI said he had received instruction at an al Qaeda training camp in Pakistan. As much as racial profiling has been a problem in the black community where law enforcement is concerned, I believe the reality is that there should be some profiling of the Muslim community in this country. There are hardworking, law abiding and decent Muslims in this country, but their good names are being tarnished by terrorists who mean this country no good.
