Bobbi Smith, 27, Arrested & Charged with Mayhem for Biting Off Part of Her Sister's Nose During Fight

I have heard of siblings falling out but this is downright ridiculous. Bobbi Smith, 27, of Jonesville, MI, was arraigned on several felony charges for allegedly biting off a part of her sister's nose during a fight. According to the Jackson-Citizen Patriot, Smith told Jackson County District Judge James Justin that she was "trying to take care of her." Dang, by biting a part of her nose off? It is unconscionable that her bond was just a measly $5,000. The laws should be changed on how judges are mandated to set bond. This was a deliberate act meant to disfigure the victim for the rest of her life.

Bobbie Smith, who had no visible injuries, told the judge she was drunk at the time and acting in self-defense. Sandra Smith hit her first, she said. She had been helping Sandra, who was staying with her in Jonesville, and they were on Greene's Drive to visit a friend, she said.

The two women were fighting about 6:30 p.m. Sunday on Greene's Drive in Napoleon Township when Bobbie Smith bit Sandra Smith, 28, according to a Napoleon Township news release.

Jackson County Chief Assistant Prosecutor Mark Blumer estimated, from photographs, one-third of Sandra Smith's nose was gone. "It was a major, disfiguring injury," said Blumer, who tried to persuade Justin to set a high bond in the case. "She was extremely violent that night." This hoodrat is facing a laundry lists of charges, which include cutting off a nose and assault with intent to do great bodily harm less than murder. Both crimes are felonies, which are punishable by a maximum penalty of 10 years in prison or a fine of up to $5,000. She has also been charged with aggravated domestic violence, resisting or obstructing an officer and malicious destruction of police property, as well as mayhem.

To think this woman is a mother who has two children. These children will no longer be in her care and they shouldn't be.
