R&B Superstar Patti Labelle Hit With Tax Lien, Owes U.S. Federal Government $337K

Oh no. Say it ain't so. I recently heard rumblings that the incomparable Patti Labelle is in a tax battle with the Internal Revenue Service.

Apparently she owes more that $337,104 to the U.S. federal government. A lien was filed in the New York City Register's office in August. At least that is what is being reported by Detroit News.

Miss Patti has been all over the place lately -- new products being sold at Macy's, a line of condiments, new album in the works and her usual concert tours. Well, I hope she clears this up really soon or she will join a long list of celebrities in tax hell.
