RI GOP State Rep. Daniel Gordon's Shocking Criminal Past Includes Repeat Arrests, Violence Against Women & Attempted Murder Charge

Can someone please tell me how did Rhode Island Republican State Rep. Daniel Gordon get elected since he has been in and out of jail since 1999 and has been charged more than a dozen times over the past 18 years, according to Target 12 Investigators? Um, how could I forget, the Republicans live by "do as I say, but not as I do."
Gordon served nearly six months over a five-year period at the Bristol County House of Correction in North Dartmouth, Mass., according to records from the Bristol County Sheriff's office.

Gordon, 42, of Portsmouth, served four months in jail after being convicted of assault and battery with a dangerous weapon in 1999, records reveal. He was back in 2003 for a one-month stay on another assault and battery charge and again in 2004 after being charged with attempted murder, the sheriff's office said. That year he was also held on an outstanding warrant for a “larceny of a motor vehicle” charge issued by police in Falmouth, Mass.

Gordon has been charg 18 times since 1993, according to criminal records from the Mass. Office of Public Safety and Security. He was charged six times with assault and battery, twice with a gun and once with a pool cue. Gordon was charged with possession of marijuana in 1996 and convicted of operating under the influence in 1993. Records show Gordon was convicted of the 1999 assault and battery charge but the attempted murder charge was dismissed. Source
Gordon was arrested again, last Wednesday and charged with driving on a suspended license. I guess the Grand Ole Party isn't so grand, is it? How is Daniel Gordon different from a street thug? He should be forced to step down. With such an extensive criminal record, along with violence towards women, including an attempted murder charge, there is no reason or any way possible, he should remain in office. He belongs behind bars for skipping out on arrest warrant issued in Massachusetts.
