Gordon served nearly six months over a five-year period at the Bristol County House of Correction in North Dartmouth, Mass., according to records from the Bristol County Sheriff's office.Gordon was arrested again, last Wednesday and charged with driving on a suspended license. I guess the Grand Ole Party isn't so grand, is it? How is Daniel Gordon different from a street thug? He should be forced to step down. With such an extensive criminal record, along with violence towards women, including an attempted murder charge, there is no reason or any way possible, he should remain in office. He belongs behind bars for skipping out on arrest warrant issued in Massachusetts.
Gordon, 42, of Portsmouth, served four months in jail after being convicted of assault and battery with a dangerous weapon in 1999, records reveal. He was back in 2003 for a one-month stay on another assault and battery charge and again in 2004 after being charged with attempted murder, the sheriff's office said. That year he was also held on an outstanding warrant for a “larceny of a motor vehicle” charge issued by police in Falmouth, Mass.
Gordon has been charg 18 times since 1993, according to criminal records from the Mass. Office of Public Safety and Security. He was charged six times with assault and battery, twice with a gun and once with a pool cue. Gordon was charged with possession of marijuana in 1996 and convicted of operating under the influence in 1993. Records show Gordon was convicted of the 1999 assault and battery charge but the attempted murder charge was dismissed. Source

RI GOP State Rep. Daniel Gordon's Shocking Criminal Past Includes Repeat Arrests, Violence Against Women & Attempted Murder Charge
Can someone please tell me how did Rhode Island Republican State Rep. Daniel Gordon get elected since he has been in and out of jail since 1999 and has been charged more than a dozen times over the past 18 years, according to Target 12 Investigators? Um, how could I forget, the Republicans live by "do as I say, but not as I do."

Kaidan Ramsay, 22, Gunned Down on Brooklyn Street by Lenox Ramsay, Husband of 11 Months, Family Says She Lived in Fear
Domestic violence is sadly more prevalent than we care to admit, for a number of reasons. I was very saddened when I read about the plight of Kaidan Ramsay, 22, who lived in fear of her husband, Lenox Ramsay, 19, for the entire 11 months of their marriage. This abuse culminated in her being shot by her husband on a Brooklyn street yesterday. She is in Kings County Hospital fighting for her life.
Lenox Ramsay has reportedly been abusing his wife for months and I would venture to say, he engaged in this behavior before they got married. He was arraigned yesterday on a host of charges, which include attempted murder, assault and menacing, stemming from the Tuesday morning attack in Crown Heights, Brooklyn. The police said Ramsay ambushed his wife, who had moved out of their home three days earlier, in front of Medgar Evers College and chased her down on Carroll Street, grabbing her wrist and throwing her into traffic. In a frantic bid to escape her attac
ker, she tried to jump into a passing car and used her cell phone to call her sister for help. This man is no stranger to the corrections system. He pleaded guilty in 2008 to assaulting, menacing and harassing an ex-girlfriend, according to court records. This is his modus operandi and I am glad he was denied bail in this crime. To all the women out there, if a man hits you once, he will do it again. Love isn't supposed to hurt. I am surprised her father, Herbert Riley, didn't take a baseball bat to this man's head. I can't imagine why Lenox Ramsay is consumed with so much anger and hatred. He is only 19 years old and has had violent relationships with women. That's a shame and it shows he has a serious problem.
His wife never filed a police report for any of the beatings she suffered, but according to the NY Daily News, she finally decided to file one when she discovered a gun in their Brownsville home. She did this just two days before this devil gunned her down. He meant to kill her. Investigators said he fired six shots at his wife, including a pair as he stood over her wounded body and hit her twice. This dirtbag doesn't need to see the outside of a prison walls for the rest of his life. It is my hope that he will be passed around like a soccer ball by his fellow inmates.

Cecil Ramsey, Retired NYPD officer, Fires at Wife, Dady Belfort, Her Friend Edwin Chittick, in Jealous Rage before Shooting Himself on Long Island
The gun violence continues. Cecil Ramsey, a retired NYPD officer, shot and killed himself yesterday, but not before, in a fit of rage, opening fire on his wife, Dady Belfort and her friend Edwin Chittick, who thankfully survived. Ramsay, 51, reportedly confronted his wife and her friend inside their home, accusing them of being more than pals. The drama played out in the street. He pumped three shots into his wife's Mercedes after she and her friend left the home. Shortly thereafter, three construction workers said a dejected Ramsey put the gun to his head and fired.
Ramsay, who police said had a heart condition and was waiting for a transplant, died instantly. His body lay in the driveway for hours while investigators pieced together the tragedy. This is a shame and it is also unconscionable that this man felt he had no other way out but to kill himself. Nobody has won in this mess, with the greatest loser being the couple's nine-year old son, who will know that his father committed suicide. If this woman was cheating on her husband in plain view, then that's a real shame, considering the man had medical issues.
"He was pushed over the edge," Ramsay's sister, Brenda, 58, said after rushing to his home. "She drove him to this." Brenda Ramsey said her brother's marriage had been on the rocks for years, and he had become convinced Belfort and Chittick were lovers.
"He would call me and say this man is right in my house," Brenda Ramsay said. After a heated fight on Valentine's Day, Ramsay moved in with his sister temporarily and left some of his things at her place, including two guns. Cecil Ramsay returned two weeks ago to reclaim his weapons, his sister said. "He said, 'This guy's a cop, and he's in my house - I need to protect myself,'" Brenda Ramsay said. Ramsay's relatives said he filed for divorce two weeks ago, citing Belfort's alleged infidelity.
Ramsay and Belfort wed more than 10 years ago, but had been sleeping in separate bedrooms for several years, his relatives said. They have a 9-year-old son. Ramsay, a former stockbroker and National Guardsman, retired from the NYPD in 2001 due to health issues, relatives said. He leaves behind seven children. Belfort has been with the NYPD since 1989. She spent 15 years in Brooklyn's 69th Precinct working in community affairs. Source: NY Daily News.
