Michele Bachmann's Presidential Aspirations in Jeopardy as Campaign Manager Ed Rollins Abruptly Resigns, Cites "Health Reasons"

A storm is brewing in the Michele Bachmann camp, as campaign manager Ed Rollins abruptly quits, citing "health reasons." Yeah, right. We've heard that excuse before.

Politico reports:
Ed Rollins is going to be stepping back from day-to-day management of the Michele Bachmann campaign, and moving into a senior advisory role, he said in an interview. Rollins said the reason for the change is personal — his health and the rigors of a campaign. “I wish I was 40 years old, but I’m not,” he told POLITICO. “I’m 68 years old, I had a stroke a year and a half ago. I’m worn out.”
Um, didn't Mr. Rollins, a veteran in the business, know all this before taking this position? Michele Bachmann is  in more trouble than she cares to admit. Let's face it, the race for the GOP presidential nomination is between Rick Perry and Mitt Romney. Gee, I wonder what doomed her aspiration? The reference to God using Hurricane Irene as a wake-up call or the corporate tax thing?

UPDATE#1:  Michele Bachmann's deputy campaign manager,

David Polyansky,

has stepped down as well. Can someone please play Taps?
