GOP Presidential Debate Hot Air & Empty Promises, Michele Bachmann on the Way Out
Cartoons of the day: GOP Presidential debate, much of the same empty promises, which was basically what George W. Bush offered us and look where it got us!
The GOP presidential debate seems to assure Obama supporters he will do just fine in 2012:
Too much Ronald Reagan:
Rick Perry's hypocrisy and the raging fires in Texas:

Presidential Hopeful & TX Gov. Rick Perry Says Obama Either Had 'the Poorest Intel" or was an "Abject Liar" Over Border Security
More disrespect for President Obama from the Republicans. During the Republican Presidential debate, Rick Perry, called President Obama an "abject liar" over he comments that the border between Texas and Mexico was the safest it had ever been:
“For the President of the United States to go to El Paso, Texas and say the border is safer than it’s ever been — either he has some of the poorest intel of any president in the history of this country or he was an an abject liar to the American people.. It is not safe on that border.”
So much for respect, right? Perry also called Social Security the biggest Ponzi scheme in America. I just hope he has the cojones to go to Florida and tell all those retirees the same thing. Just saying...

Michele Bachmann's Presidential Aspirations in Jeopardy as Campaign Manager Ed Rollins Abruptly Resigns, Cites "Health Reasons"
A storm is brewing in the Michele Bachmann camp, as campaign manager Ed Rollins abruptly quits, citing "health reasons." Yeah, right. We've heard that excuse before.
Politico reports:
UPDATE#1: Michele Bachmann's deputy campaign manager,
Politico reports:
Ed Rollins is going to be stepping back from day-to-day management of the Michele Bachmann campaign, and moving into a senior advisory role, he said in an interview. Rollins said the reason for the change is personal — his health and the rigors of a campaign. “I wish I was 40 years old, but I’m not,” he told POLITICO. “I’m 68 years old, I had a stroke a year and a half ago. I’m worn out.”Um, didn't Mr. Rollins, a veteran in the business, know all this before taking this position? Michele Bachmann is in more trouble than she cares to admit. Let's face it, the race for the GOP presidential nomination is between Rick Perry and Mitt Romney. Gee, I wonder what doomed her aspiration? The reference to God using Hurricane Irene as a wake-up call or the corporate tax thing?
UPDATE#1: Michele Bachmann's deputy campaign manager,
David Polyansky,
has stepped down as well. Can someone please play Taps?
