The retailer - which employs more than 2,000 people in its 61 New York stores - signed a settlement deal promising to change its policies and employee handbook. Transgenders Win Discrimination Dust-Up with American Eagle Outfitters, NY AG Cuomo Forces Changes
New York Attorney General Andrew Cuomo just threw the transgender community a life line. Well, it just got easier for a transgender person to work at American Eagle Outfitters. Cuomo forced the company to make some changes, including banning the rule about an employee's "personal appearance" that forbade men from wearing women's clothing and ladies from dressing as guys.
