Chafets reports he encouraged Limbaugh to reach out to the president just after last July's "Beer Summit" that Obama hosted between Professor Henry Louis Gates and Sgt. Joseph Crowley, the Cambridge cop who arrested Gates after he locked himself out of his own home.Of course, Chafets declined to disclose the name of that top level Democrat, leading one to wonder is this is all true or just a publicity ploy for his new book. No sane person would ever expect President Obama to break bread, much less play golf, with someone like Rush Limbaugh.
"You guys are both golfers," Chafets told Limbaugh. "Would you play a round with the president and show the country that there are no hard feelings?" "He's the president of the United States," Limbaugh told Chafets. "If any president asked me to meet him, or play golf with him, I'd do it. But I promise you that will never happen. His base on the left would have a s--t-fit.""How about letting me ask?" Chafets said. "Go ahead," Limbaugh said. "Nothing will come of it." Source: NY Daily Post

Zev Chafets: President Obama Won't Play Golf with Rush Limbaugh
There is some dustup this morning over a response by the Obama administration at the prospect of playing golf with Rush Limbaugh. When asked about the invitation, the president's response, delivered by a high-level Democrat was: "Limbaugh can play with himself." That comeback has ticked off some on the right. Er, what did they expect? President Obama to yuk it up with a man who calls him a Communist, a race-baiter, a liar, a whim, among other names? Well, this story is being played up in the media by Zev Chafets, who has a new book, "Rush Limbaugh: An Army of One," set to hit the stores May 25 from Sentinel.
