NY Times: CT Attorney General & Senate Candidate, Richard Blumenthal, Lies About Service in Military
It is a sad commentary when someone lies about serving in the military. Connecticut Attorney General Richard Blumenthal, who is a senate candidate, seems to have developed amnesia about his whereabouts earlier in his life, according to the New York Times.
“We have learned something important since the days that I served in Vietnam,” Mr. Blumenthal said to the group gathered in Norwalk in March 2008. “And you exemplify it. Whatever we think about the war, whatever we call it — Afghanistan or Iraq — we owe our military men and women unconditional support.”
How do you deliberately lie about serving in the military? That's bad. If he could stoop so low as to lie about that, what else would you do or say as senator?
