The 41-year-old alleged head of the notorious Shower Posse could be in custody in Manhattan by the end of the weekend. He is wanted in New York on multiple counts of drug-running and gun-running.He should spend some time in a Jamaican prison, like his father, Jim Brown who died under mysterious circumstances. The accommodations in a U.S. prison are far better than that of one in Jamaica. If these rumors are true, then I will be glad when he is in U.S. custody. The fight to eradicate these gangs from Jamaica must go on and the soldiers have put these thugs on notice. Meanwhile, I will continue to call for the resignation of Prime Minister Bruce Golding. It is time for new leaders in Jamaica and if the country can't govern itself, then it's time for the island to back to British control or become a territory of the United States.
The Jamaican Observer newspaper quoted sources close to Coke saying he "feels it is in his best interest to be taken to the U.S., rather than to a Jamaican jail." Source: NY Daily News
