Innocent Bystander Denise Gay, 56, Fatally Shot, Officers Avichaim Dicken & Omar Medina Wounded in Brooklyn Shoot-Out Started by Leroy Webster

The holiday violence in New York City continues with 43 shot from Friday night to Monday night. According to the New York Post, a wild shootout ensued last night between cops and a gunman, Leroy Webster, on Park Place in Crown Heights that left two cops wounded and two people dead, including a mother, Denise Gay, 56, caught in the crossfire as she sat on the stoop of her home with her daughter. Leroy Webster had gotten into an altercation with Randy Johnson, who he later shot and killed.

On top of all this mess, two of the eight officers on the scene, were wounded. Officer Avichaim Dicken, 24, suffered a graze wound to his arm, while Officer Omar Medina, was hit by bullet fragments in his face and leg. He's listed in stable condition at Brookdale Hospital. All these cases in New York City this past weekend amounted to black-on-black crime. When will it end?
