UPDATE#1: According to the Atlanta Journal Constitution, a Clayton County grand jury has declined to indict a teacher who lost his job after being accused of threatening to "put a hit" on a student. School officials, however, indicated the grand jury decision won't affect Forde's job status.
"The matter regarding Randolph Forde’s employment with Clayton County Public Schools is closed," the school system said in a statement to the AJC. "Mr. Forde, like any other person, can apply for any position posted by the district."Mr. Forde reached out to the Hinterland Gazette to have the article taken down and his picture removed. We will remove the picture, but nothing in our article suggested he was guilty. The argument presented was based on the allegations made against him. We wish Mr. Forde all the best and hope he will be able to pick up the pieces of his life.
