News Corp.'s Founder, Rupert Murdoch Says Glenn Beck "Was Right," Obama Made Racist Comment (VIDEO), Fired Editor Sandra Guzman Files Lawsuit Against Company

Now I completely understand why people like Glenn Beck, Sean Hannity, Ann Coulter, Dick Morris, Gretchen Carlson, Steve Doocey and other on-air personalities at Fox News get away with race-baiting. Their leader, Rupert Murdoch shares their sentiments to a tee. After being mum all summer on Glenn Beck's statement that President Obama was a "racist," he finally piped up to say that his newest Fox News star, Glenn Beck, "was right" when he called President Obama a racist in July even if he was wrong to say it.
"On the racist thing, that caused a [unintelligible]," Murdoch said in an interview with his Sky News Australia over the weekend. "But [Obama] did make a very racist comment about blacks and whites and so on, which he said in his campaign he would be completely above. And that was something which perhaps shouldn't have been said about the President, but if you actually assess what he was talking about, [Beck] was right."
You will recall that Beck's comment prompted an advertiser revolt, with many brands boycotting his show and directing their advertising dollars to other Fox News programs. This is just downright ridiculous and Rupert Murdoch owes the president an apology. I can't recall hearing Fox News denigrating their "darling" President George W. Bush for anything. Rupert Murdoch is the last person who should call anyone racist. How many black, Latinos and Native Americans does he have working at his rag, The New York Post, on Fox News Channel and Fox Business Channel, Sky News and his other holdings?

UPDATE#1: Sandra Guzman, an editor who was fired by the New York Post after she spoke out against the cartoon depicting President Obama's stimulus package as a dead chimpanzee, has filed a lawsuit against the paper, the editor-in-chief, Col Allen and News Corp., alleging harassment as well as "unlawful employment practices and retaliation." She has leveled some embarrassing and potentially damaging allegations.
As part of the 38-page complaint, Guzman paints the Post newsroom as a male-dominated frat house and Allan in particular as sexist, offensive and domineering. Guzman alleges that she and others were routinely subjugated to misogynistic behavior. She says that hiring practices at the paper -- as well as her firing -- were driven by racial prejudices rather than merit. And she recounts the paper's D.C. bureau chief stating that the publication's goal was to "destroy [President] Barack Obama." Source: Huffington Post
What is ironic is that Rupert Murdoch has the hubris to call President Obama racist, yet he sits on top of an empire that has been accused of racist behavior in the past and to this very day. Ms. Guzman has also alleged that, "the last five employees who were recently terminated by Paul Carlucci, the Publisher of the Post.... have all been black and/or women of color."
