Biggest Falsehoods in Sarah Palin's Book "Going Rogue" Goes Viral

I am no fan of Sarah Palin, but I will give her some credit for using her so-called "star power" to publish a book that will, no doubt, be a runaway bestseller. I came across an article on The Huffington Post about the myths perpetrated in her book, "Going Rogue." For example, during her appearance on Oprah yesterday, she said there was family vote on the vice presidency, yet she told Sean Hannity in 2008 that she had held a vote. She points the finger at McCain aides for her $150,000 shopping spree, but no one who was in the campaign backs her version of events.

In the book, Sarah Palin blames the McCain campaign staff for botching her public appearances and not letting her speak freely. In an email, she blamed herself and thanked them for their hard work. There's more. In her book, she states that the McCain campaign made her pay for her own vetting. A campaign official said that it is "one hundred percent untrue."

Now for the most famous whopper of all: Palin says she found out only “minutes” before McCain’s concession speech that she would not be allowed to speak. In fact, she had been told so several times. How do you twist the truth to such an extent and think you can get away with it? Wow. Blame it on the Alaska Kool-Aid! I have no doubt her book will shatter sales records, but people should be mindful of the fact that it is partly fiction.
