Tyler Weinman Arrested by Miami Police in Brutal Cat Killings After Dozens Found Mutilated

Tyler Weinman, ABC News

The monster who had Miami-area residents on edge over the mysterious deaths nearly three dozen cats has been caught. Tyler Weinman was charged with 19 counts of animal cruelty, four counts of burglary and 19 counts of improper disposal of an animal's body. According to ABC affiliate, WPLG, neighbors and police have said the cats were beaten, skinned or sliced open. State Attorney Katherine Fernandez Rundle has said that she hopes the residents of the Palmetto Bay and Cutler Bay neighborhoods "will feel relieved and their cats will be safe once again."

It is being reported that the teenager's parents are parents are divorced and that he splits his time between his mother's house in Cutler Bay and his father's house in Palmetto Bay, Fla. Dead cats were found in both towns. Still no excuse to commit such atrocities. If he isn't reined in, he will undoubtedly graduate from killing cats to attacking humans. That's just where the statistics point. This little creep doesn't need a slap on the wrist, he needs to be severely punished. If they could send Michael Vick to prison 23 months for dogfighting, this little creep needs to do 46 for what he did to these cats. Funny, PETA is rather silent on this crime.
