The Hinterland Gazette's Janet Shan Talks with CNN's John Blake About Church Scandals & Why Some Members Won't Leave

The Hinterland Gazette's Janet Shan talks about church scandals with CNN's John Blake.

Coming soon: The Hinterland Gazette to be featured in article written by CNN's John Blake about the reaction of church members to scandals involving their pastors. Many of you know I have been a vocal critic of many pastors who are embroiled in scandals because they are hypocrites and there is a terrible double. Most notable among those pastors are the late Earl Paulk, who had an adulterous relationship with Mona Brewer, the wife of Bobby Brewer, a former pastor at the Cathedral at Chapel Hill. It is also ironic that New Birth Missionary Baptist Church senior pastor Eddie L. Long, a protégé of Earl Paulk, now finds himself embroiled in a gay sex scandal with four young men. The interview with John, a former employee of the Atlanta Journal Constitution, covered a wide range of issues as to why some church members feel that their pastors can do no wrong, as the truth stares them in the face. CLICK HERE to read more of John Blake's work at CNN.
